Information about Disaster Prevention Program for Foreign Residents

Tokorozawa city council is holding the Disaster Prevention Program for foreign residents. The Theme of this event is ”Let’s learn about earthquakes”.

You can join this program for free and interpreters will be available for non-Japanese speakers. Also, if you know any other foreign residents who might be interested, please feel free to bring them along.

The contents of this program include:

1 An explanation about earthquakes in Japan

2 Emergency food ration tasting

3 Discussion about Earthquakes and Disasters 

Date: Sunday, February 9th, 2020

Time: 2PM to 4PM

Place: Tokorozawa City Hall  6th Floor

           604 Meeting room

※Please come to the venue via bus or train

Fee: Free

This event is only available to foreign residents who live / work / study in Tokorozawa 

You are also welcome to bring a Japanese acquaintance with you if you need support.

How to apply:

Please complete the application form which is attached below and submit your application in one of the following ways:

  1. Bring the form to  Culture&Arts Promotion Section in  Tokorozawa City Hall/ 5th Floor. (Open only on Weekdays from 8:30 am to 5:15pm)

  3. Send by FAX to: 04-2998-9491
  4. Send by e-mail to  a9211@city.tokorozawa.lg.jp
  5. Call the Culture&Arts Promotion Section directly at:  04-2998-9211(Open only on Weekdays from 8:30 am to 5:15pm)
